Identifying Strengths

By accessing this website you have recognised that you have a behaviour you want to change and are (at least) in the preparation stage. Move into action and start the self-evaluation and self-help guide today.

Anyone who commits themselves to change is able to change, even if you have tried in the past without success. With the right tools you can move forward.

Your illegal internet use is only one part of you, it does not define you:

You need to take one step at a time, do not rush through it. Our role is to ask the right questions not give you the answers; you need to engage in the work and reflect on your life. It has taken a long time to get where you are and change can take time too. Don’t be hard on yourself if it doesn’t happen overnight.

Quite often people who access indecent images of children recognise that that behaviour affects their self-esteem and stops them being the person they want to be. Spend some time thinking about some positive goals that will help you move towards being the person you want to be. It is important to set goals in manageable bite size ways that makes them much more achievable and makes change even more likely.

My Goals Exercise

My goals for the next week;

e.g. spend less time on-line, not access any images of children, go for a 10 minute walk every day.

My goals for next month;

e.g. spend more time with family / friends, feel better about my behaviour, go for a 15 minute walk every day.

My goals for the next 3 months;

e.g. feel happier, start a new hobby, go for a 20 minute walk every day.

You can achieve these goals and you have taken the first step to change, the self-help modules on this website can help you!

So, let’s get started

It feels better of course not to be doing those things…Feeling, generally feeling better about myself. More self-respect…
